HOW TO GO FROM AGRA TO JAIPUR, BHARAT (INDIA)

By train, the fastest and cheapest option to get from Agra to Jaipur

This is the cheapest option you have to travel from Agra to Jaipur. There are different types of trains with different durations, depending on the stops along the way. The trains belong to the Indian Rail ways company and the shortest journey lasts 3 hours and 40 minutes. The approximate cost per trip is 5 euros. And you have the option of choosing trains with a private cabin and bed, in case you prefer to travel at night.

The best way to book transportation in India is from the 12go.asia website, a metasearch engine that will always offer you all types of transportation available, all schedules and prices. The website is 100% secure, very easy to book, with the lowest costs and best alternatives.

By bus, a not recommended alternative

The bus is another option you have to get from Agra to Jaipur. But it is not the most comfortable option. Unlike other countries, in India the bus network is quite scarce. For this route there is usually only one daily departure and the cost is around 35 euros per person in a sleeper bus. Furthermore, we must add to this that the journey takes twice as long as the train. Around 8 hours of travel. The main “advantage” is that they usually have Wi-Fi (not all) and air conditioning.

Transfer or private taxi

If you prefer, for about 70 euros each way, you have the option of taking a taxi. It is recommended if you are traveling with 3 or 4, with quite a few suitcases or if you are traveling with children. The advantage of the taxi is that it picks you up at the door of your hotel, so you will not have to carry suitcases to the train station, then to your hotel. And it will leave you at the door of your next hotel. Another advantage is that if you need to stop along the way, it goes at your pace and will make stops to go to the bathroom or have a drink. The journey takes around 4 hours or 4 and a half hours.
