In New York there are two basketball teams that compete in the NBA:
The New York Knicks are one of the teams that plays in New York, specifically in Madison Square Garden, in the borough of Manhattan. It is the oldest team in the city, founded in 1946.
The other team is the Brooklyn Nets, founded in 1967 and who play at the Barclays Center, in the Brooklyn district.
NBA season
The NBA season has two parts:
The season runs from October to April. Then we have the Playoffs and the finals. At the end of April, the 16 teams that qualify begin to play in the playoffs, known as the playoffs. These qualifying rounds end at the end of June when the final is played.

To watch the Nets at Barclays Center in Brooklyn:

The closest subways are Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center (2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, R), Lafayette Avenue (C), or Fulton Street (G).
Where to buy NBA tickets in New York
It is advisable to purchase tickets online in advance. The price of the ticket depends on the seats and the visibility they have. There are tickets from 30 euros to 500 euros or more (it depends a lot on the time of the season, the game, how much advance you book and where the seat is located).
