AREAS NOT RECOMMENDED TO STAY IN SAN FRANCISCO

1. Bayview and Hunters Point

They are the most dangerous areas of San Francisco, where there are more murders and more robberies. They are far from the center and have no tourist attractions. And although there are accommodations at a good price, it is better not to stay here.

2. Mission District

It is an interesting neighborhood to visit during the day, where you can see art. However, it is an area with quite a few street gangs and the crime rate is quite high. Apart from the street art and some cool places to eat and drink, it is better to pass by.

3. Stay in nearby cities

Something very common is that since San Francisco has such high prices, some tourists choose to stay in nearby cities such as San Rafael or Oakland. However, if you decide on this option, keep in mind that the journeys are long to get to San Francisco. In the best case it will take between an hour and an hour and a half. If you are only going to spend two or three nights in San Francisco, you will lose a lot of time on public transport, apart from the cost of these journeys. Not worth it!
