Vientiane is not a very large city, however, it is divided into several areas. Some of them better than others. In general, Laos is a very safe country and that includes its capital. The city offers a variety of culture, nature and history with several interesting places to visit. To get to know Vientiane, I recommend spending two days. In this post I tell you about the best areas to stay in Vientiane and I add some great accommodation options.
WHERE TO STAY IN VIENTIANE: BEST AREAS AND HOTELS
Near Chao Anouvong Park, one of the best areas to stay in Vientiane
This is one of the best areas of the city, on the banks of the Mekong River is Chao Anouvong Park. Near this beautiful park you can visit Wat Sisaket, That Dam Stupa, Wat Inpeng and Wat Ong Teu.
It is an area with a lot of atmosphere and with several accommodations. Generally, Vientiane is not an expensive city. Specifically in this area you can find a hotel for between 20 and 30 euros per night in a double room with breakfast in standard hotels and for just over 60 euros you have luxury options.
