Vieux Montréal is one of the oldest districts of Montreal, considered the historic center of the city, it is a good alternative where to stay in Montreal, but also one of the most expensive.

The advantages of staying in Vieux Montréal is that you will have the vast majority of museums nearby, as well as fortifications dating back to the 19th century and buildings that still retain their 17th-century architecture.

Plateau Mont Royal is a residential neighborhood about a 20-minute walk from the historic center of Montreal. It is very well connected with public transport, and it is a quiet and safe area.
