Both Seoul and Busan are two essential cities to see if you are planning to visit South Korea. And the country is not as small as it seems, although the distances are not very long either, especially the big cities are very well connected. To go from Seoul to Busan you have several options and in this post I talk about how to go from Seoul to Busan, what are the best options, prices and time.

HOW TO GO FROM SEOUL TO BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA


By bus, the cheapest option to go from Seoul to Busan


The bus is the cheapest option, especially in high season, which is when the difference between the bus and other forms of transport is most noticeable. The cost of the ticket between both cities is usually around 22 euros per person and journey (reserving online in advance). Although if you wait until the last minute the prices are always going up. The journey lasts almost 5 hours and there are 2 or 3 stops along the way to go to the bathroom and have a quick bite to eat.



By train, a faster alternative to go from Seoul to Busan


The train alternative is a slightly faster option to get from Seoul to Busan as long as you book the express option. There are several types of trains, and the journey time ranges from 2:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. Depending on the stops. The cost of the fastest train starts at 40 euros per journey and per person. The train has air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and is a very comfortable option.



By plane, the fastest option to go from Seoul to Busan


The flight only lasts 1 hour, but you must take into account the previous time to arrive at the airport earlier, pass the passenger control and the time to check in your suitcase, if you need it.

The cost of plane tickets, if you take it in time, is not very high. We chose the plane option and the ticket (May 2023) cost us 37 euros per person each way. Although if you reserve it with little time, the cost will be higher.
