By train: Take the scenic coastal train from Colombo to Weligama or Matara station. From there, a tuk-tuk will take you to the bay in 30–40 minutes. Find trains in Sri Lanka.

Over time—and largely thanks to social media—the area grew in popularity, bringing in higher-end boutique hotels. However, you won't find massive resorts here, which I personally love because it keeps the area's authentic charm alive.
