Visiting Coron is one of the best things to do in El Nido. And more and more travelers want to get closer to this small paradise island. Both El Nido and Coron are amazing with beautiful lagoons, fine white sand beaches, turquoise waters and limestone walls. There are two ways to get to Coron; by plane or by boat.
In this post I talk about how to go from El Nido to Coron, I talk in detail about the two options and I add tips for traveling to the Philippines.
HOW TO GO FROM EL NIDO TO CORON, PHILIPPINES
By boat, the cheapest option to go from El Nido to Coron
Taking the boat trip is the best and most common option to get from El Nido to Coron (and vice versa). There are two companies that make this journey and the trip lasts around 4 hours, depending on the state of the sea.
The two companies that process the route are Montenegro Shipping Lines and Atienza Interisland. And work alternately, dividing up the week. The cost of the trip costs around 50 euros and it is advisable to book in advance online so as not to be left without transportation. In addition to this price, you must add port taxes.
By plane, a comfortable option to go from El Nido to Coron
Since relatively recently, it has been possible to fly between both islands. The flight lasts around 25 minutes and is a great option to avoid bad tide, for me, a big advantage. The cost of the flights if you book in advance is around 85 euros. The flights have a frequency of 3 times a week, so before organizing the entire itinerary through the Philippines, I recommend that you book the flights and when you have them confirmed, start with the hotels, since it will be much easier to find accommodation .
